Nell Avery Pasley

Nell Avery Pasley of Springfield Township passed away Easter Sunday April 9, 2023. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Harry Norman Pasley and only child of Homer and Emma Ezell Avery. Nell is the loving mother of Dr. Larry Norman Pasley (Sue) and Stephen Avery Pasley (Pam); dear grandmother of Dr. Kimberly Pasley (Mike), Cara Halter (Ryan), Jon Pasley (Jamie), Tricia Geiser (Jeremy), Dr. Ben Pasley and great-grandmother of Kristin, Alex, Tyler, Kylie, Ellie and Kayla.

Nell earned a bachelor's in education from Memphis State College where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Her professional career spanned 28 years of teaching Algebra at Greenhills High School. Avid football and basketball fan of the Memphis Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers and Purdue Boilermakers with the Cincinnati Bengals at top of the list. Northminster Presbyterian church served as the center of faith throughout her lifetime. Hobbies she enjoyed and shared with friends included quilting as a member of Ohio Valley Quilters Guild (earning blue ribbons at most shows where she displayed her majestic quilts), knitting, crossword puzzles and cards with numerous bridge groups. Once widowed she traveled the world with her friends touring countries in Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. Here in the USA she visited all 50 states. Her greatest joy in life was simply spending time with family and her large circle of friends.

Memorial Visitation will take place at Northminster Church, 703 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231, on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 1:30 until time of Memorial Service at 2:30 PM.

Graveside Services will be held at Historical Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis on Sunday April 16th, 2023 where she will be laid to rest beside her husband and parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati and/or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital
