In Loving Memory of Nora Taquechel Ramirez

Nora Taquechel Ramirez, born on October 25, 1930, in Havana, Cuba, peacefully departed from this world on February 10, 2024 surrounded by three generations of her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of Carlos Taquechel and Adelaida (Maymir) Taqeuchel. Nora was predeceased by her devoted husband, Rolando Ramirez, leaving behind a legacy that spans generations.

Nora's life was defined by love, resilience, and a deep commitment to family. In 1961, faced with the challenges of political upheaval in Cuba, she and Rolando embarked on a courageous journey to seek a better life for their family. First finding refuge in Puerto Rico before settling in Cincinnati in 1966. Nora's unwavering determination and strength in the face of adversity served as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A dedicated and nurturing mother, Nora leaves behind a profound impact on the lives of her four children Ileana, Jorge, Roly (Shari) and Ed (Kim).  She was the cornerstone of her family, providing love, support, and guidance throughout their lives. Nora's legacy extends beyond her immediate family, as she was also a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a beloved great-grandmother to 8.

Nora's warm and compassionate nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her home was a place of welcome and comfort, where family and friends gathered to share in the joy of togetherness. Nora's culinary skills were renowned, and she delighted in preparing meals that brought people together.

In addition to her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nora was a pillar of strength in the community. Her kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit touched the lives of many, creating lasting bonds and friendships that endure to this day.

As we bid farewell to Nora Taquechel Ramirez, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength to those who mourn her passing.

A memorial mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate Nora's life will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 5361 Dry Ridge Rd. in Colerain Township on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11 am.
