Pamela Elizabeth Jones (née Kentrup), 85, of West Chester, Ohio passed away on Feb 11, 2025 at home from cancer. She went peacefully and without pain, thanks to in-home hospice care.
Pam was raised in northern Kentucky and became a Catholic nun after graduating high school. She remained at the convent for 13 years, teaching and receiving both her bachelors and masters degrees there. She went on to teach high school math afterward. She loved teaching, but particularly loved helping her students.
Pam met her future husband and love of her life, Dennis, in 1977 while snow skiing with the Cincinnati Ski Club. They had one child, Douglas, born in 1979, who is now married with 2 children.
Pam loved those grandchildren, Natalya and Ronan, and loved being “Grammy Pammy”. Though they lived out of town, she saw them several times a year, and saw them via video calls every week.
Pam always loved animals and she loved taking her dogs Gabby and Brie for walks at Sharon Woods when she was able.
She was an active member of Good Shepherd and remained spiritual her entire life.
She was very active in politics as well as with her family, particularly her sister, cousins, and nieces.
She’ll be remembered for being happy! She emanated joy to the end. She was grateful for her life. She reflected that the tiniest little differences in life could have changed everything, but that her life had worked out so well! She was a great mother, and as her son, I always felt incredibly loved. I will miss her greatly.
Pam is survived by her husband Dennis, son Doug, grandchildren Natalya and Ronan, and dog Gabby!
