HARMON, Pat. Beloved husband of Anna Worland Harmon for 73 years. Loving father of Mike (Fran) Harmon, Tim Harmon, Sr. Kathleen Harmon, SNDdeN, Dan (Patti Tures) Harmon, John (Eileen) Harmon, Sheila Nixon, Kevin (Lucrecia) Harmon, Peg (Jon Murphy) Harmon, Brigid (Tony Fries) Harmon, Teresa (John) Leugers and Chris (Clarissa) Harmon. Also survived by 33 devoted grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter-in-law Sally Thornburg Harmon. Passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, age 97. Mr. Harmon graduated from Freeport (IL) High School and the University of Illinois. He was Sports Editor of the Champaign News-Gazette from 1940-47, Sports Editor of the Cedar Rapids Gazette from 1947-1951, Sports Editor of the Cincinnati Post from 1951-85 and historian for the National Football Foundation from 1985-2005.
