Patsy Sliger

Patsy Jean (Green) Sliger passed away on June 15, 2024 at the age of 68 after a courageous two year battle with ovarian cancer. Patsy was a devoted wife of 46 years to Greg, a selfless mother to her four children Ellen (Jamie) Harding, Jay (Melissa) Sliger, Evan (Betsy) Sliger, and Hannah (Aaron) Hopkins, and a loving Grammy to Jonah, Lucy, Ruby, Lilly, Mabry, and Oliver. 

Born on November 30, 1955 in Charleston, West Virginia, Patsy was a loyal daughter to the late Ralph and Ruby Green, and sister to Richard Green, Polly Green (David), and Esther Green. She was a treasured sister-in-law to Theresa (Gary) Popplewell, Carol Sliger, Jim (Jenny) Sliger, Steve (Lynn) Sliger, the late Susie (Gipp) Momchilov, and the late Rita Milbern. Patsy was a beloved aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews, and a loyal friend to many. 

Patsy grew up in Mason, Ohio and attended Mason High School where she met her best friend and husband, Greg. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Design from the University of Cincinnati School of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning. She and Greg married July 1, 1978 and later settled in Mason, Ohio where they created a beautiful life together raising their four children. Patsy was devoted to her family and treasured her time with them. 

Patsy had strong faith and always kept God at the center of her life. She had many, many friends and prioritized making deep connections with those around her. Patsy was a talented artist and enjoyed designing greeting cards to share with friends and family on special occasions. Patsy had the gift of hospitality. Everyone was welcome in her home. She enjoyed planning and hosting gatherings for family and friends. One of Patsy’s greatest pleasures was sitting around the kitchen table sharing tea with loved ones. Patsy was beloved for her generous spirit, infectious laugh, and her kind, gentle nature. She will be greatly missed. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Hope Church, 4934 Western Row Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Visitation will be from 10:00am - 12:00pm, followed by a memorial service at noon.
