Paul George McDorman 76, of Cincinnati, left this temporary and fallen world, Wednesday, June 13, 2018, for his eternal and perfect Home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born March 20, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Hugh and Esther McDorman. He graduated with a BA in Bible from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and with a BS in Chemistry and a Masters in Education from Xavier University. On August 24, 1962, he married the late Phyllis Mae McDorman (nee Spinks), his college sweetheart, whom he faithfully loved, through sickness and in health for 43 years. He worked as a chemist with HB Fuller Company for 40 years. Paul volunteered as a church youth leader, 4-H advisor, Warren County, Greene County, and Ohio State Fair Judge for a combined 20 years, and with Teen Challenge. For many years, he served with Creation Research Science Education Foundation (CRSEF), including editing its newsletter, World by Design, and supported other ministries like Answers in Genesis and the Institute for Creation Research. On September 22, 2012, he married the late Lois Peabody (nee Shoemaker), whom he loved and cherished dearly. Paul was a humble, soft-spoken servant, who through faith, worked to help bring people to Christ and to better equip believers to defend their own faith. He enjoyed writing, contributing articles to various publications, and had written a book on salvation that he planned to have published.
He was loving father of Pamela (Barry) Mullins and Perry (Stephanie) McDorman; devoted grandfather of Zack Mullins, Mae (John) Durkee, Tyler Mullins, and Reece, Anna, Kaius, and Elle McDorman; adoring great grandfather of Noah, Adah, Judah, and Esther Durkee; dear brother of Elaine (late Bob) Smith; and caring step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather of Lois's family. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Christ’s Church, 5165 Western Row Rd, Mason, OH 45040, on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m.
