Paul J. Hess

HESS, Paul Joseph, cherished husband of Betty Anne Hess for 59 + years. Son of the late William and Angela (Cunningham) Hess. Loving father of Paul Jr., Marianne (John) McCarty, Maureen (Andy) Nagler, Tish (Bill) Marquardt, Tom (Amy) Hess, Kathy (Andy) Butz, Jim (Kerry) Hess, and Eileen Pasquarette. Grandfather of Whitney and Amber Hess, Jack, Andy, Brian and Colin McCarty, Andrew and Katie Nagler, Elliott, Kelly and Reed Marquardt, Sophia and Henry Hess, Drew, Ben and Kelsey Butz, Zoe Hess, Tori, Nick and Logan Pasquarette. Brother-in-law of Dr. John (Rose) Richards. Nothing was more important to Paul than his wife, his 8 children and his Catholic faith. He and Betty Anne embodied for all the true example of married love. Paul was a tremendous Christian role model to his 20 grandchildren. Retired Engineer from General Electric after 37 years he went on to help develop and oversee an Engine Aircraft Systems Integration (EASI) course for 20 years. He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati Aerospace Engineering graduate school. Paul was a WWII veteran, Brown University (magna cum laude) graduate and earned his Master's Degree in Engineering from MIT. He was inducted into the General Electric Propulsion Hall of Fame and a recipient of the prestigious Brown University Engineering Alumni medal. Passed away Saturday 12/13/14 in his home surrounded by his family. He is resting now in the arms of God and will be fortunate to spend Christmas with Christ Himself.
