Moore, Paul Percy, 92, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane (Biederman), daughter Linda (James) Voss, grandson JD and 7 nieces and 1 nephew. He also was the father of the late Beverly Moore. Paul was born to parents Paul and Lucille (Johnson) Moore in Lumberton, NC on December 30, 1928. He grew up in Hollywood, Florida where he learned to love swimming, fishing, hunting and boating. The Ocean, Everglades and the Intracoastal Coastal Waterway were favorite places to explore. Paul attended The Severn Prep School in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon graduation, he was thrilled to attend The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania where he played Lacrosse. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He met his wife, Jane, while she was vacationing in Florida. After a couple of years of correspondence, Jane and Paul were married May 10, 1952. Paul became a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force and was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. After his discharge, Jane and Paul settled in Cincinnati, OH. Paul started his own business, Moore Industrial Hardware, which was a full service distributor of industrial hardware. Work was Paul’s hobby. He loved every day so much that he never retired, working until 3 weeks prior to his death. Paul loved his second home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He loved the ocean and taught his family how to body surf and enjoy deep sea fishing. Paul was a #1 Bengals football fan and had tickets from day one, having attended every home game. Paul always enjoyed his yearly fishing trips to Lake Erie with good friends. He was also a member of The Presbyterian Church of Wyoming, The Wyoming Golf Club and The Cincinnati Athletic Club. Papa enjoyed many special times with his grandson JD. They loved going to car and train shows and exploring Cincinnati in JD’s car. The Family will hold a private Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 9 at The Presbyterian Church of Wyoming.
