Age 83, of Mason, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Beloved husband of Brenda Powell (nee Ballard). Loving father of Lisa (Ronnie), Desiree (Donnie), Michele (James), Valerie (Luke), Sonya Jade (Justin), Travis, and the late Kim. Dear Grandfather and Great Grandfather of many. Preceded in death by his parents George Edward and Marie Frances Powell and his four siblings. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

When Paul was only eight years old, he learned to establish his hard work ethic as he sold shopping bags and newspapers downtown Cincinnati. He built a foundation with that hard work ethic and carried it into his career as he began Paul W. Powell Painting Contractors. He painted for 62 years around the greater Cincinnati area. His faith and connection with Jesus was strong as he was an involved member of Springdale Nazarene Church, and also started his own ministry, Jesus Is Cool. Paul has owned a Harley Davidson Motorcycle since he was 17/18 years old and he also enjoyed traveling to many tracks in the NASCAR circuit, sitting at the start finish line.

Visitation will be held at Springdale Nazarene Church, 11177 Springfield Pk., Cincinnati, OH 45246, on Sunday, June 4th, 2023 from 4:00 pm until time of Funeral Service at 6:00 pm. Procession to Fairmound Cemetery will then take place on Monday, June 5, 2023. The funeral procession will meet and gather in the parking lot of Springdale Nazarene Church at 10:45 AM and depart at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jesus Is Cool through Springdale Nazarene Church and/or Target Dayton Ministries in Dayton, OH.
