In Loving Memory of Peggy Brichler
June 3, 1956 – January 29, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peggy Brichler (nee Doran), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She passed away under hospice care on January 29, 2025 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born on June 3,1956 in Cincinnati, OH, Peg was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength. She married her best friend and love of her life, Donald Brichler, on June 23, 1978. Together they built a beautiful life centered in family and faith. They were married for 46 wonderful years, creating countless memories filled with happiness and laughter.
Peg was a devoted mother to Katie and Kevin, raising her family with unconditional love, wisdom, and grace. Her role as “Grandy” to her precious “dream babies” brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment with them.
A dedicated nurse for 46 years, Peg committed her life to the well-being of others. Her passion for caregiving was a true calling, and her nurturing spirit brought comfort and healing to her patients and their families.
Beyond her profession, Peg found joy in spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading, and playing TidalBall on the beach. She will be remembered for her warm smile, electric energy, and zest for life.
Peg is survived by her husband, Don; children: Katie (Brent) Mahan and Kevin (Rachel) Brichler; grandchildren: Emma, Peyton and Grant Mahan; and Finneas Brichler; sister Mary Doran, brother Patrick Doran, and countless friends that became family. She is now reunited in peace with her parents John and Lois Doran, brother Michael Doran, and sister Amy Doran.
In true Peg fashion, she selflessly donated her body to science in an effort to contribute to advancements in cancer research and the education of future healthcare professionals. A Mass celebrating Peg’s life will be held at the chapel at St. Xavier High School (600 W North Bend Rd, Cincinnati OH, 45224) on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend and share memories of a life beautifully lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests a donation to Hospice of Cincinnati in Peg’s name.
Peg created a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
