Peggy Joyce Lytle (nee Latham)

July 21, 1936 — June 4, 2024

Peggy Joyce Lytle (nee Latham), of Goshen Ohio, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on June 4th 2024.

Born July 21st 1936 in Hamilton County Ohio to Lucy and David Latham, Peggy spent her childhood in Lockland Ohio. Peggy attended Lockland High School, where she met the love of her life, Don Lytle, to whom she was married for 69 years. It is also where she made several enduring friendships that were with her throughout her lifetime. Peggy was a true Renaissance Woman who had many talents and a brilliant mind. To those around her, she inspired art, learning, laughter, and practicality. It seemed there was nothing she couldn't do when she pursued a new venture. Those many ventures included painting, sewing, cooking, reciting literature, knitting, basket making, teaching, bowling, gardening, and so much more. She was deeply involved in her family and close friends and hosted many wonderful and memorable holiday gatherings. Peggy's integrity, grit, warmth, humor, and dignity will remain unforgettable by those lucky enough to have known her.

She is survived by her only son, Mark Lytle; her 2 granddaughters Kristina Lytle, and Holly Lytle-Mapes (Phil Smith); and 9 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Lytle, Aden Lytle, Seth Lytle, Zackary Kirkendall-Lytle, Adri Mapes, Bailey Smith, Giovanni Lytle, Isaac Lytle-Brooks, and Maggie Lytle-Kolodzik; as well as extended family and countless beloved friends who became chosen family. Peggy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Don, and by her elder sister, Anne Isaac (Harold).

A brief committal service will be held outdoors for family and friends at Crown Hill Cemetery on Friday, June 14th at 10am.
