WHEELER, Perlene Adams, born January 13, 1925, passed away January 24, 2017 at the age of 92. Perlene was born in Cullman, AL and lived in Cincinnati, OH since the 1950's. She loved family and friends, painting, playing the piano, quilting, crocheting and knitting, and tending her flowers. She worked into her 80's as a bookkeeper/office manager. She was named Woman of the Year by ABWA in 1983. The last surviving child from a family of twelve children, Perlene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Milton Wheeler and her son, David Wheeler. Her daughter, Judith Wheeler, daughter-in-law Kathleen Wheeler, three granddaughters, Angela (Mark) Solomon, Laura (Jason) Barrett and Danielle (Sean) Henry, thirteen great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Jean (Leon) Dussault, mourn the loss of their dear mother/grandmother/sister-in-law. Because of Perlene's rich life of love, she also leaves behind a devoted extended family and a wealth of wonderful friends. We will be celebrating Perlene's life in Cullman, AL at the Cullman Funeral Home on Saturday, January 28, 2017 with a visitation gathering at 1pm followed by a funeral service at 2pm and in West Chester, OH at Serenity Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 6:30pm.
