Peter J. Amrein

AMREIN, Peter J., beloved husband of Erma (nee Priesmeier), devoted uncle of Cheryl (David) Bowman and Joyce (Rev. Barry) Schaefer, cherished great-uncle of Heather (Wayne) Prender, Anne Bowman, Kelly (Jon) Stansbury and Erin (Aaron) Stewart, great-great-uncle Claire, Grace, Sophia, Owen, Greta, Liam, Preston and Emmett. Pete is preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and survived by many other Amrein nieces and nephews. Pete spent 39 months as a medic with the 818th Engineering division during WWII. He and Erma were married after his return from the military and were married for 70 years. He retired after 37 years with Cincinnati Inc. formerly Cincinnati Shaper Co. He passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at age 98. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill Saturday from 10 AM until service at 11 AM.
