Peter J. McCarthy Sr. retired to the 19th hole Saturday August 12th, 2017.
Born 3/3/33 in Cincinnati to Francis X and Vera B McCarthy nee Klotter. Survived by his sister Mary Pat Ret. Preceded by his wife Mary Ellen McCarthy nee Hogan and survived by their 5 children, Peter J. McCarthy Jr (Paula McCarthy) daughter Hannah McCarthy, Thomas G. McCarthy (Marie MacLeod), Molly A. McCarthy, Catherine E. Hogan nee McCarthy (Richard Hogan) and son Bryce Hogan and Sean P McCarthy (Brenda Schultz) sons Brendan and Damian McCarthy. Peter attended Xavier High School class of 1951 and Xavier University class of 1954. He was the past President of the Xavier Musketeer Club in 1971. Peter had a lifelong career in the Insurance claim business. He was a third-generation member of the Friendly Sons of St Patrick. He also had a lifelong devotion to Xavier Basketball, sports of any kind. To all of you Sensitive New Age Guys, pass the Mustard!
