Peter M. Merz

Peter M. Merz of Cincinnati, OH, passed away Friday, February 5th, 2021. He was the ultimate family man and loved watching his children succeed. Pete’s greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, weekends at the lake, and ski trips with his friends and family. Pete lived every day to the fullest. It was impossible not to have fun when Pete was around because his smile and laugh were contagious. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Conni Merz; children Garrett, Emily and Madison; Father Ted (Mie) Merz; sister, Trish(Gary) Manning; brother, Steven Merz; in-laws Cindy(Dave) Leese, Rob(Molly) Hollman and many loving nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his mother Ulla Merz. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12th, 2021 from 9:30AM – 11:30 AM at, Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave Cincinnati, Ohio 45224. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at St Ignatius of Loyola Church, 5222 N Bend Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247. The Celebration of Life will be held from 1:30pm-5:30pm at Green Township Senior Center, 3620 Epley Ln, Cincinnati, OH 45247.  A private burial for the family will be held at St Mary’s Cemetery, Ft Mitchell, Ky. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Shriners Children's Ohio, 3229 Burnet Ave #3018, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
