Raymond Joseph M.D., loving husband of the late Shirley Nelson Lippert. Dear father of Chris Lippert, Greg (Elizabeth) Lippert and Jeff Lippert. Grandfather of Christopher and Aubrey Lippert, Nicole Lippert Overland, Sarah Lippert Hughes and Peter Lippert. Great-grandfather of Ava and Trace Overland and Mitch Hughes. Brother of the late John Lippert. Passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 age 88. Ray was enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class from 1944-1946 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Surgeon from 1949-1951. Ray graduated from Miami University in Oxford Magna Cum Laude and was in the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and also a member and Chapter President of Beta Theta Pi. Ray graduated UC Medical School in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in 1949. He was the U.S. Navy Welterweight boxing champion in 1945. He was in general practice from 1952 to 2007. He graduated from Wyoming High School as class president in 1944. Our father cherished his loving wife, Shirley, for their entire marriage of 62 years. He was a role model to his three sons and grandchildren. His greatest loves beyond his immediate family were his longtime patients, his nursing staff and golf friends. He was also an avid snow skier and longtime Bengal fan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James of the Valley Church, 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, on Thursday at 10 a.m. with words of remembrance at 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203-1742.
