Rev. Joseph Anthony Robinson

After struggling with Parkinson’s for the last years of his life, Fr. Joseph Robinson died July 17, 2023. Fr. Joe was well loved by all, he served as a priest of 59 years in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. He served as Pastor at St. Boniface Catholic Church for 28 years (1992-2020), He served at St. Columban Catholic Church for 12 years (1977-1989). He has published 15 books of homilies, Guiding Light, through the Shepherds of Christ Ministries for priests and hierarchy. Shepherds of Christ circulated over 800,000 copies to them over 15 years.

He is brother to the late Mary Barlage, late Jim (Dorothy Klosterman) Robinson, late Sr. Catherine Robinson and Rita (Robert) Ring. Fr. Joe has many loved nieces and nephews, Ann Barlage, Peggy Cummings (Charles), Mike Barlage, the late Bethie Barlage, Tommy Barlage, Esther (Matt) Fisher, Monica Robinson, Carol Fuller (Doug), Sharon Miller (Sean), Cathy Lipps, Joe Ring (Meredith), many great-nieces and nephews and many very close friends, Fr. Gerry Bensman, Carol Roosa, and very dear priest friends. We are very grateful to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, St. Boniface, the Kenwood Senior Star and Queen City Hospice.

Reception of the body will be held at St. Boniface Church, 1750 Chase Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45223 on Monday July 24, 2023 at 7 PM with a visitation following from 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Boniface Church on Tuesday July 25, 2023 at 10:30 AM.

We request Masses be said for the repose of the soul of Fr. Joe or donations given to Shepherds of Christ Ministries, P O Box 627 Madison, IN 47250 who donated Fr. Joe’s homily books to the priests and hierarchy. We thank Sheila, Jerry, Rosie and Doris for their labor of love with these books and our donors.
