Reverend Doctor Ralph E. Uth

 

The Rev. Dr. Ralph E. Uth, 90, died on Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, to the late George and Leora Elizabeth (Longstreet) Uth. On July 26, 1953, he married Marjorie Alveta Elzey in Dayton, Ohio. She survives. They have two daughters, Barbara (Robert) Braley of Avilla, Indiana, and Carol Uth of Cincinnati. They also have three grandchildren, Elisabeth Braley of Avilla, Indiana; Ian Braley, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Kenneth Braley of Avilla, Indiana. He was ordained an elder in the West Ohio Conference of The Methodist Church in 1959. He served pastoral appointments in Lewisburg, Ironton, Mount Blanchard, West Jefferson, Mason, Delphos and Blanchester, retiring from Blanchester in 1988. Dr. Uth was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, George, Jr., and his older brother, Carl Theodore Uth. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
