PFEFFERLE, Richard A. Beloved husband of the late Alice P. Pfefferle (nee Burns). Devoted father of Stephen (Cheryl), Neil (Marcia) Pfefferle, Eileen (the late John) Tarbutton and Maureen (Larry) Cook. Father-in-law of the late Nick Dektas. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Denise, Clacey, Logan, Connor, Lauren, Colleen, Jenny and Caroline and great-grandfather of 5. Dear Brother of Marilyn Ransom and the late Robert Pfefferle and Elaine Cohen. Dear friend of the late Mary Jane Usinger. Passed away August 4, 2018. Age 91. Visitation will take place at St. Vivian Church 7600 Winton Rd., Finneytown, Friday from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
Richard had a long career as a professional engineer and put his mechanical abilities to use during his retirement years with hobbies such as woodworking, clock/watch restoration and volunteering at GE repairing equipment for their Books on Tape program. He enjoyed camping and backpacking at state and national parks with his family throughout his life and took up competitive target shooting with his brother-in-law, Joel. He embraced technology via his computer and even dabbled in computer programming.
