He was predeceased by his parents Alden William Butters, Louise Marie Butters (Longton) and his brother Robert Kenneth Butters.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Carole Morelli, children Nicole Butters (Trip Davis), Paige Toraason (Stuart Toraason), step -son Chris McClenathen and grandchildren, Isabel, Eloise, Norwood, Emmaline, Goodwin, EvaLouise, Maris, Francie and Sylvia.
He proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1955-1958. After discharge, he settled down in Cincinnati, in the neighborhood of College Hill where he would live until his death.
He had a long career as a sales representative in the cosmetic industry.
His many interests included being a certified scuba diver, avid boater, garage sale enthusiast, and antique collector. He loved to cook and was the caretaker of Greyson, our cat. He was never without opinions and stories but a true American patriot.
There are no events planned as he did not wish to have services. You can make a donation to The National Kidney Foundation in his honor in lieu of flowers.
