Richard E. Slaughter

SLAUGHTER, Eugene Richard, passed away at home Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the age of 89 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of 65 years to Dorothy. Loving father to five sons Ken, Dave, Richard, Steve and preceded in death by Christopher. Loving grandfather to ten. Mr. Slaughter served in Patton’s 3rd Army during WW II, graduated from UC with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, was president of Stearns Technical Textile Company, volunteered for Hoxworth Blood Center and was a violin player with Cincinnati Civic Orchestra. Visitation at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Rd., Finneytown, Friday from 10:15 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church or American Red Cross.
