Richard Kohne (1925-2018) West Chester - Richard “Dick” Kohne, beloved husband of Mary (nee Wilker) Kohne. Devoted father of Donald (Mary Lou) Kohne, Diane (Kim) Bellard, Richard (Kathy) Kohne, Patricia (Gary) Scheer, James (Barbara) Kohne, Mary (Steve) Brownfield. Loving grandfather of Lauren (Brad), Jonathan (Susan), Brian (Ashley), Andy (Erin), Christopher (Marie), Melissa, Matthew, Jennifer, Brandon, Hannah, Christine, Sean, and great-grandfather of Maddy, angel Brooke, Skylar, Raegan, Quinn, and Leo. Dick passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 19, at the age of 93. He attended Roger Bacon High School and the University of Cincinnati. Dick served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was also a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH, 45069, on Tuesday, July 24, from 5-7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 25, at 10 am, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care, 4380 Glendale Milford Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
