Richard H. Pohlkamp

June 24, 1931 — February 24, 2023

Richard (Dick) H. Pohlkamp passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his children, grandchildren and loving wife, Sue, on Feb 24 at the age of 91.

Dick was born on June 24, 1931 to Joseph & Bernadine Pohlkamp and was the 3rd of 5 children. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Eleanor and Loraine (Sis) Wolf and brother, Joe Pohlkamp.  He is survived by his brother, Jack (JoAnn) Pohlkamp.

He married the love of his life, Susan Bruening May 11, 1963 and together they had 6 children:  Lisa (Chris Felix) Siegel, Linda (Dan) Kuhn, Connie (Billy) Dick, Rich Pohlkamp, Amy (Andy Celmer) Pohlkamp & Jenny (Edwin) Miller.

Cherished by 10 grandchildren: Courtney Siegel, Mac (Danny Kaminsky) Siegel, Dave (Nicky) Kuhn, Matt (Morgan) Kuhn, Rebecca (Elliot) Stephens, Carley (Devin) Ashcraft, Josh Pohlkamp, Lexi (James Clemons) Miller, Ben Miller, & Reece Tubbs.

Adored by 2 great grandchildren: Laci Miller & Lucas Ashcraft.

Dick graduated St. Clement grade school in St. Bernard as well as Roger Bacon high school.  He received his BA from Xavier University and then served in the Army. Once finished he returned to Xavier University and received his Masters. He was the Director of Contracts at the EPA for many years.

Memorial Visitation at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Rd., Finneytown 45224 on Monday March 6, 2023 from 10 AM until Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.

Dick and his wonderful sense of humor will be terribly missed.
