Richard “Dick” G. Rieman
February 9, 1940 — April 1, 2024
Devoted husband of Virginia “Ginny” Rieman (nee Gutzwiller) for 61 years; loving father of Dick Rieman, Sandy (Greg) Morgan, and Denny (Jennifer) Rieman; proud grandfather of Jess (Max) Morgan; Cory Rieman, Jacob (Danae) Morgan, Logan Rieman, and Kyle Rieman; dear brother of Glen (Betty) Rieman, Shirley (Jerry) Ruberg, Joan (Clair) Shay, Jim (Claire) Rieman, and the late Dale Rieman; and numerous loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Florence Rieman.
First and foremost, Dick loved his family and his love for his wife is unparalleled. Dick enjoyed gardening, garage saling, singing, dancing, and coaching. Dick often reminisced about his early years growing up in North College Hill and St. Margaret Mary Parish. Dick was retired from General Motors after 30 years and was a member of the local AmVets.
Dick passed peacefully at home on April 1, 2024. To celebrate his life, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place on April 6, 2024, at 10:30 am at Little Flower Church, 5560 Kirby Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45239; followed by burial at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will proceed services at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dick’s name to Hospice of Cincinnati, AmVets Post 1988, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Following the burial service at Saint James Cemetery in White Oak, please join us in a celebration of Dick’s life from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. at Willow Event Center 7881 Colerain Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45239
