Dick Roderer, born Dec. 11, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully overnight on Dec. 12 after spending his 82nd birthday with family and friends.
Dick is survived by his sons Rick and Steve and his daughter Nikki along with his grandchildren Sydney, Ricky, Joey, Adam, and Sami. He is also survived by his sister Rosalie and brothers Paul and Dan.
Through the years Dick enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and playing couples softball with his work and White Oak neighborhood friends. He was also an avid follower of his local sports teams, the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Dayton Flyers, who were robbed of a possible 2020 NCAA title by Covid. Dick also loved spending time drinking coffee, solving all the newspaper puzzles, and making friends with the patrons of his local morning establishments. Dick worked as the Chief Operating Officer of a Cincinnati hospital for 17 years before moving on to entrepreneurship, opening a Fastsigns franchise and proudly operating it with his two sons from 1995 until his retirement.
