Rita Vonder Meulen

Rita Clare Vonder Meulen was born September 12, 1961. Rita was the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Stimac) Vonder Meulen. She was the much-loved sister of Sr. Ann O.S.F, Dick, Don (Kim), Joan (Arnold) Van Skaik, Jim (Mary Beth), Mary Hamilton, Greg (Jenny), and Frank (Tom) Stettner. Loving aunt of Matt (Jean), Joey (Jennie), and Sarah Van Skaik, Brandon and David Hamilton, Brett and Kory (Jen), Gretchen (Jamie) Johnson, Chris (Jessica), Nora and Jake. The loving great aunt of Gabe, Kiera, Gaven, Zane, Seth, Pearl, Sam, Davis, Will and Jackson. Friend and longtime roommate of Vickie Waller. Rita passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 the age of 62.

Rita loved running and ball toss in the Special Olympics, and has many medals for her efforts.  She was an avid bowler with Cincinnati Recreation Commission Saturday bowling league for many years, and a past member of the Singing Fingers. She loved word find books and coloring books with markers. She enjoyed recycling and was an enthusiastic collector of pop can pull tabs.

Rita loved her family, waffles with lots of syrup, chocolate cake and Sunkist. (She did not like dogs!)

Friends may call at Saint Clement Church, 4536 Vine Street, St. Bernard, Ohio on Thursday November 2 at 10:00 a.m. until Mass of the Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
