He grew up in North College Hill and attended North College Hill High School where he was president of his class and captain of the football team. Bob was a strong, talented business man that landed him as one of the top executives at Luxottica where he was Director of Distribution for North & South America, as well as Europe. He put his wife through nursing school at UC Blue Ash where she achieved her dream of becoming a stellar nurse! Bob and Nancy were a great team –after Nancy graduated from nursing school he helped her start her own home health agency. They owned and operated Tender Care Home Health Inc. for many years.
He loved to golf with his buddies but his favorite times where the vacations he spent at the beach (Myrtle Beach) with his family. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father to Jennifer and Bobby and often referred to his children as his “treasures”. He loved his granddaughters and enjoyed spending time with them and hearing all about what was going on in their lives.
He met his wife (Nancy), at the age of 13, the “love of his life” and they were married on June 6, 1970. They were married for nearly 35 years until she passed away from cancer in 2005 at the age of 56. Bob has mourned the loss of his wife (Nancy) for the last 12 ½ years and he truly died of a broken heart. His family finds peace in knowing that he has reunited with Nancy and his heart has healed.
