Robert Coon

COON, Robert C. Beloved husband of the late Rita Coon (nee Nagel). Loving father of Debby (Tim) Bosch, Candice (the late David) Brownell and Denise (Greg) Ernstes. Cherished grandfather of Kelly (Tim Planitz) Wilson, Keith (Randi) Wilson, Brian (Abby) Bailey, Mark (Jen Young) Ernstes, Beth (Vince) Atchison, Eric (Emily) Bosch and Jason (Nikki) Bosch. Great-grandfather of 12. Dear brother of the late Pete Coon, brother-in-law of Amy Coon. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends that Robert cherished deeply. Friend of 17 years, Joan Bader. Robert was a member US Navy Veteran, a member of the Celina Moose Lodge and the St. Bernard Eagles, he also retired from GE after 30 plus years of service. Robert passed away on July 3, 2021 at the age of 89. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Thursday from 10AM until 11AM. Entombment at St. Mary’s Cemetery will follow immediately. Memorial donations may be directed to The American Macular Degeneration Foundation, American Heat Association or charity of donor’s choice.
