Robert A. Hock

Robert A. Hock (Bob), age 86, beloved husband to Mary Joan Hock (deceased July 10, 2020).  Loving father to Rob (Denise), David (Kari), John, and Alissa Cavanaugh (Tim).   Devoted grandfather to Lydia, Drew, Nathan, Henry, Cara, Jack, and Patrick.

Bob was born in Portsmouth, OH and graduated from Notre Dame high school.   After high school he graduated from Xavier University with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.  He went on to earn his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Miami University of Ohio.   Bob had an over fifty-year career as a psychologist; teaching, providing therapy and consulting many in Chicago, Durham and Cincinnati.  Bob also served on several Cincinnati area non-profit Boards; OVC, Cincinnati Works and OVRS to name a few.

He regularly had a smile on his face and his pleasant calm approachable demeanor made everyone he met comfortable and at ease.
