YOUNG, Robert Ray, 85, of Blue Ash, OH, passed into glory and the presence of the Lord Jesus Monday, Feb 26, 2018. A retired sheet metal tradesman, he was a craftsman of extraordinary abilities; a quiet and gentle man possessed of deep character and integrity. He loved Norma, his wife of 63 years, with a fierce and faithful affection. Bob was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was born on September 30, 1932 to Clarence and Della Rea Young. He married Norma Adro on Decemeber 30, 1954 and together they had three daughters. Bob graduated from Madeira HS in 1950; attended Wilmington College in 1951-1952; served in the US Army from November 1953 to November 1955; was a long-time member of the sheet metal workers union; and attended New Life Christian Church in Sharonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence John Young and Della Rea Center; and his brother, Donald Edward Young. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean Adro; his daughters. Robin Adele McHone (Michael), Sally Ann Owens (Craig), and Kimberly Sue Carlin (John); 9 grandchildren (Rachel, Daniel, Katie, Jordan, Ian, Emily, Jenna, Bess, and Isabel Hope); 13 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday (3/3) at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH 45069 from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery- Mason, OH.
