Roberta Rae Coyle

Roberta Rae (Moorehead) Coyle, 88, formerly of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, in Lockland, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 24, 1932, in Bethel, Ohio to John D. and Mabel D. (Swope) Moorehead. She graduated from Bethel Tate High School in 1950 and attended Miller School of Business, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She went to work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base where she met her future husband, Lawrence (Ken) Coyle. They were married on June 21, 1952 in Bethel, Ohio.

Through the years she and her husband invited family, friends, visiting missionaries and others into their home and lives. She enjoyed opening her home, entertaining, and was an excellent cook. They had a group of lifelong friends (five couples) who they shared life with for over 50 years, attending First Church of Christ, Fairborn, Ohio together, camping together, and ministering to people in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ken, her sister, Barbara Ruhoff, and one great-grandson, Samson Pardue. She is survived by her children, Becky (Keith) Boggs of Lincoln, Illinois, Phyllis (James) Null of Lockland, Ohio, Mike (Sheri) Coyle of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Lisa (John) Clouse of Owensboro, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James (Betty) Moorehead of Bethel, Ohio, along with many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Faith Bible Church, 8130 E. Kemper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday, February 19, 2021. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00, with the funeral service following from 11:00-12:00. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens, in Xenia, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Christian Villages of Mount Healthy, 8097 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45231 or Hospice of Cincinnati, 4360 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242.

Funeral arrangement and services will be provided by Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Road, West Chester Township, Ohio 45069.
