Roberta "Bobbie" Schulze

Roberta (Bobbie) L. Schulze (nee Lassiter), beloved wife of Wallace M. Schulze, loving mother of Karen (Bob) Graham, Janet (Marvin) Moore, Dale (Melanie) Schulze, Donna (Mike) Baeten, Diane (Gary) Brown, Andy (Vickie) Schulze, Kathy (Jay) Stallard, Jeanne (Todd) Phillips, Bonnie (Ray) Meinking and of the late Gary Schulze and Allan Schulze. Mother-in-law of Susan Schulze and Cindy Schulze. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 25+ great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her sister Evelyn McCarroll and her parents U.S. Air Force Col. Robert E. Lassiter and Ruth Lassiter. Passed away May 20, 2023, at the age of 92.  

Bobbie not only loved and cared for her large family but also for her church and community family. She worked tirelessly for Reach Out Lakota, benefiting local families in need. She was a compassionate children’s advocate for many years with the Butler County CASA program. She worked with the Lakota School District, filling in for office administration when there was a need. She was a caring Deacon in her church and started the Mary and Martha Program to fill the needs of loved ones suffering a loss in their family. Bobbie loved music and spent most of her adult life in church choirs.  She encouraged all of her children to love and enjoy music in their lives. Bobbie had a green thumb and her love of flowers led her to work as an arranger for Vern’s Florist for many years. She was our “sunflower” of encouragement and love. Most importantly of all, Bobbie was a good friend who loved her Lord and she shared His love with her world. She has surely heard the words “Well done my good and faithful servant”.

Memorial gathering will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, at West Chester Presbyterian Church, 8930 Cincinnati Dayton Road, West Chester Twp, Ohio  45069 from 5-6 pm, followed by the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Reach Out Lakota, PO Box 362, West Chester, Ohio  45069, reachoutlakota.org.
