Ronda L. Reno, age 53, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born August 17, 1968 to Darlene R. (nee Hannah) Smith in Topeka, Kansas at Forbes Air Force Base. Ronda is survived by her mom, Darlene; brother Dan Reno; sisters, Vicki and Cassie Smith; niece Aurora Samons; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Hannah and her beloved dogs Snoopy & Winnie.
Ronda was a lifelong resident of West Chester, Ohio where she attended Lakota Schools and graduated from D. Russel Lee Technology Center with her cosmetology license in 1986. Doing hair was Ronda's passion. She loved making people feel good about themselves and cherished the lifelong friendships she made. During her career many of those friendships became family to her. She was there for all of her newfound family & friends for the important days, whether it be a first dance, wedding, or baby’s first haircut. Each and every one of those memories were precious to Ronda. Ronda didn’t know any strangers. She had a way of becoming friends with everyone she met, and that shows with the amount of people that adore her. Ronda's other passion was her pets. She had cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, and even rescued a raccoon once and loved her pets like no other - those were her babies.
Ronda was a pillar of care amongst her family. She made it a point to stay in contact with each and every family member. On any particular day you could ask her a question and she would know just how everyone was doing. She had very close relationships with most of her very large family because of the love she had for each and every one of them. Ronda was especially close with her grandmother, Margaret, and has missed her dearly since she passed in 2009. It is a comfort to know that they are now reunited and smiling together once again.
A celebration of life will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, OH 45069 on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Ronda’s Go Fund Me to assist with the cost of services.
