Ruben Verldon Phillips Beloved husband of Marlene E. Phillips and the late Mattie Thomas Phillips. Loving father of Ronald A. (Carolyn) Phillips and Patricia (David) Phillips French. Step father of Susan (Jeff) Nevels, Jane (Todd) Daniels and Russell (Chers) Etheridge Jr. Grandfather of Cindy (Doug) Davis, Greg (Rachel) Phillips, Tracy (Brad) Neeley, Angie (Rob) Lantman and David (Tiffany) Phillips. Step grandfather of Michael (Sarah) Nevels, Lauren (Josh) Sharp, Robert Nevels, Alison Nevels, Tyler Daniels, Benjamin Daniels, Laura Daniels, Russell (Kayla) Etheridge III and Adam (Johni) Etheridge. Great Grandfather of Caleb, Katie, Matt, Kaleigh, Meghan, Chris, Keira, Trevor, lan and Gracie. Step Great Grandfather of Levi. Brother of Dallas Phillips and the late Artha Lucille Cross and Donald Phillips. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ruben was a veteran of WWII and a Purple Heart recipient. He also was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, Mason Masonic Lodge #678 and the Shriners. Ruben worked at Cincinnati Milacron for 42 years. Passed away June 29, 2014, at the age of 93. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Hodapp Funeral Home 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. Liberty Twp. 45044 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at Bethany Baptist Church 6049 Yankee Rd, Liberty Twp, OH 45044 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church.
