Russell L. Crews Sr.

CREWS Russell Sr., age 87, died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at home. He was the loving husband of Peggy Crews, father of Sally (James) Lipscomb, Rusty Crews and Robin Green. Grandfather of Angela (Doug) Gregory, Amanda Jackson, James Lipscomb, Amber Wenz, Trisha Green, Kevin Green, Joshua Crews and Jesse Crews. Great-grandfather of Felisha Gregory, Adrianna Meija, Dylan Carson, Sierra Wenz, Chloe Wenz, Olivia Wenz, Kaeden Lipscomb, Madison Lipscomb, Jayden Vance and Paisley Gum. Mr. Crews was a native of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, a life member of Lawler Hanlon VFW Post, was president of Teamster’s Local Union 1199 Brewery and Soft Drink workers for more than 30 years, volunteered for the Cincinnati Zoo and was a member of Lakeview United Church of Christ. Memorial service to be held at Lakeview United Church of Christ (513-683-2073), 8639 Columbia Rd., Maineville, OH 45039, Saturday, June 22nd at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to Lakeview United Church of Christ or to the American Diabetes Association.
