Ruth C. Wolf

Ruth C. Wolf (nee Allgeier) was born July 23, 1920 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She passed away peacefully February 15, 2015. She was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. Ruth attended Southern Ohio Business College and throughout her life she and her husband Wilbur owned and operated five restaurants. The last restaurant was the Six-Mile House on Colerain Avenue in Mt. Airy. Ruth was a hard worker and was known for her decorating and organizational skills. As a young woman, Ruth danced with the Sparklettes. Her passion for dancing continued for many years with ballroom and square dancing. She loved being involved in all things social and was the President of the Ladies Social Club at Waters Edge Condo in Pompano Beach, Florida. Ruth was an avid traveler and was grateful to have traveled the world. She and Wilbur were fortunate to go on 72 cruises. Ruth was a dog lover, having many dogs over the years and found comfort in her last days from her family's Golden Retriever, Sunny. She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Wilbur S. Wolf, their daughter Carol A. Wolf (Jan Smith), brother Ron Allgeier (Cheryl), granddaughter, Shelly Maurer (Martyn Thomas) and grandson, Kurt Maurer (Mara Hussong), granddaughter, Jill Henry, grandson, Chris Henry (Wei Cheng), great grandchildren Max Thomas, Emma Thomas, Nicholas Maurer, Katie Maurer, Rachel Claire Henry, Oliver Henry, and Calvin Henry. She had many wonderful friends. Ruth will be dearly missed and will be remembered for her love of life and her devotion to family and friends. We will always keep her in our hearts. Visitation at Little Flower Church, 5560 Kirby Road, Mt. Airy, Saturday from 10:30 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00.
