Ruth Reed, age 82, beloved wife of Lowell Reed for 58 years, passed away suddenly but peacefully, October 24, 2022 in Westerville, OH, surrounded by family. Daughter of the late Charles G. and Catherine Ruth Davis. Proud mother of David (Mary Sue) of Westerville and Richard (Jennifer) of Galena, OH, and grandmother of Sarah Reed (Chad) Cunningham of Severance, CO, Jacob Reed of Galena, OH, and Spencer Reed of Hilliard, OH. All the family will miss her dearly.

After an early career in computer data entry supporting her husband’s career moves to several metropolitan cities across the US, and raising two sons to college age, she went back to college to get an Associate Degree in Library Science from University of Cincinnati, and made a second career as a law library assistant. Both pre- and post-retirement she was an avid sewer and skillful needlework aficionado and enjoyed participating in neighborhood “stitch and chat” groups. She sometimes taught crocheting classes, and made innumerable hats and blankets for preemies and other charities.

Interment will be in the family plot at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Cemetery in Bridgetown (Cincinnati) OH where friends and family will gather for brief graveside prayers at 12:30 PM Friday, October 28, 2022.
