Sandra Tashjian

TASHJIAN, Sandra. Beloved wife of Andrew Tashjian. Devoted mom of Gene (Tesse), Larry (Dixie), Sonia (Dave), Francesca (Dan), Lisa and Travis (Kathy). Loving grandmother of Charlie (Jen), Nicole, Cain, Ian, Michael, Nick, Ariana, Alina, Leann, Johnny, Harrison and Elle and great grandsons Sam, Owen and Milo. Loving daughter of Elpidio and Teresina. Dear sister to Adelino, Toredo, Elvezio and Aleandro. Passed away Sunday May 4, 2014. Salandra left Monterotondo, Italy at the age of 19 after WWII in 1946, leaving her family and small town to come to the United States for an exciting new adventure with her first husband Jim Tupper who would pass away a few years later. Raising her first three children by herself and speaking very little English, she would meet her second husband Andrew Tashjian. She had an incredible ability to bring people together whether it was because of her magnetic personality or her amazing cooking. She found tremendous pleasure spending time with her entire family, especially her grand kids who kept her modern and hip, listening to opera, shopping at every thrift store in the city and spending time with her dear friends. Although the passing was unexpected, we are all very grateful that we had the chance to have the best of the best mom and grandmother in our lives. We all love you and will miss you.
