Sister Mary Carol Mertens, RSM, Sister of the Sisters of Mercy for 71 years. Daughter of the late Walter Mertens and Catherine Pfaller Mertens. Passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the age of 94. Preceded in death by Walter and William Mertens; Friends may call at the McAuley Convent, 1768 Cedar Ave., 45224, on Friday, December 11, from 3:00 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:15 p.m. Funeral procession will leave McAuley Convent on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 9:00 a.m. for burial at St. Joseph (New) Cemetery.
