Sister Mary Johanna Niklas, RSM, Sister of the Sisters of Mercy for 65 years. Daughter of the late John Niklas and Johanna Busche Niklas.  Passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the age of 84.  Preceded in death by Richard Niklas. Survived by Robert Niklas and Sister Joan Terese Niklas, SND.  Friends may call at the McAuley Convent, 1768 Cedar Ave., 45224 on Wednesday, April 6, from 3:00 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:15 p.m.  Funeral procession will leave McAuley Convent on Thursday, April 7 at 9:00 a.m. for burial at St. Joseph (New) Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Sisters of Mercy-South Central Community, Mission Advancement Department, 101 Mercy Drive, Belmont, NC  28012.
