Sister Sarah Marie Sherman

Sister Sarah Marie Sherman, sister of the Sisters of Mercy for 62 years.  Daughter of the late Lawrence Sherman and Margaret Rolfes.  Passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 80.  Preceded in death by brothers Michael, John Daniel, Lawrence Sherman, and Mary Margaret Kebbon.  Survived by Gretchen Sherman, wife of John, and many nieces and nephews.  Sister ministered as an elementary school teacher, formation director, Director of the National Sisters Vocation Conference.  From 1996 to 2013 she served as director, then assistant director, of Mercy Connections (now Mercy Neighborhood Ministries).  Sarah had a natural burial at St. Joseph Cemetery (new) on December 23.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1600 Madison Road, Cincinnati, 45206 at 6:30 pm on December 29.  Streaming will be available at stfrancisds.com.
