Sona K. Childress

Sona Kay Childress (nee Jackson), age 79, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2022 in Lebanon, Ohio. Sona was born in Delaware, Indiana on November 16, 1942, to the late Edward and Edna Jackson. She was the beloved wife of the late Troy B. Childress. Loving mother of Harold Cox Jr and Robert (Jackie) Cox. Devoted grandmother of Cassie (Matthew) Cox, Madison (Taylor) Reece and Caitie (Jacob) Cox. Caring great-grandmother of Jordan Lee and Stella Grace.  Dear aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Sona retired from Sterns and Foster as a Payroll Specialist in the early 90's. Her and Troy enjoyed their early retirement years as snowbirds in Leesburg, Florida. Sona was passionate in her religion and her love for our Lord and Savior. Sona spent her spare time sewing, shopping and spending time with her friends and family. She truly loved spending time with her grandchildren. 
Sona is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings, John (Karen) Jackson, Iris (Dan) Breedlove and Barbara (Melvin) Cox.
