Stacy L. Medlin Hawkins

Stacy Leigh Medlin-Hawkins, loving mother of Erica Reed Hawkins. Life Partner of Tamara Hastings and “second” mother to Trey Hastings. Dear daughter of Mariam Virginia Medlin and the late Joseph Avery Medlin II. Cherished sister of Jenny (Ken) Luken and Joseph Avery Medlin III. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Patricia Joseph, her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Stacy was born in Owensboro Kentucky June 2, 1963. She was raised by her mother Mariam in Lewisport Kentucky. She graduated from Hancock County High School and attended Marysville College and Kentucky Wesleyan on an academic and athletic scholarship and graduated with a Major in English and a minor in Journalism. Stacy had a very successful career in sales and marketing. In later years, with the birth of her child and her passion for children it led her to finish her career in Early Childhood Development as a Director and District Manager. Stacy was an avid fan of Kentucky Basketball. Her love of for the game of Basketball allowed her to mentor and coach many young people not just in the game of Basketball but in life lessons. All Through her lengthy illness, she always managed a smile, kept a determination and a will to live life to the fullest through her love of The Lord. Stacy touched the lives of many and was an inspiration to all she met. We will celebrate her life on Saturday, August 16 at Crestview Presbyterian Church, 9463 Cincinnati-Columbus Road West Chester, Ohio 45069. Visitation 1:15-3:15, services immediately following. Hodapp Funeral Home serving the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund in her daughter Erica’s name at Huntington Bank.
