It is with great sadness that the family of Stanton H. Vollman announces his passing after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on September 30, 2020 at the age of 80 years old.

A native of Bond Hill, Stan attended St Xavier High School, Xavier University and the Salmon P Chase Law School of Northern Kentucky.  Stan was a Partner with the CPA firm Grant Thornton and was the youngest Head of the Tax Department.  He then went on to practice law for over 30 years.

Stan has been extremely active in the community and served on the board of numerous organizations.  He coached youth sports, served as a Scout Master for the American Boy Scouts, and most recently helped with the formation of FeedTheYouth Foundation, a charitable organization focused on empowering & educating youth.  He served as a board member and treasurer of ProSeniors and in a variety of roles for the American Red Cross:

-Cincinnati chapter: board member (1971-2020), chapter historian (1999-2020)

-Great Lakes State Regional Council (2004-2005)

-National Investment Committee (1998-2004)

-National Resolutions Committee (2005-2006)

-Recipient of Clara Barton Award (Highest award bestowed on a Red Cross Volunteer)

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen (nee Yearout), his children Jeff and Katie (Sammarco), and 6 grandchildren Rosemary, Jack, Alex & Michael Sammarco and Sophie & Adam Vollman.  He is survived by countless nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was the loving brother of Rosemary Wikas (nee Vollman), Barb Kreinbrink (nee Vollman), and Marilyn Guilfoyle (nee Vollman).

A Celebration of Stan’s life will be held at 10 am, on October 8th, at Nativity Parish in Pleasant Ridge.  Visitation will be from 9-10 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial donations in Stan’s memory to be made to www.feedtheyouth.org or The American Red Cross.
