Stephen J. Elsaesser

ELSAESSER, Stephen J. “Bunce” passed away on August 29 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Friederike Elsaesser (nee Röehrig) for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his four brothers Alphonse (Connie), Robert (Marilyn), James, Thomas and sister Lillian and is survived by his two sisters Catherine Doyle, Teresa Broxterman and many loving nieces and nephews. Bunce, as he was known to his family and friends, grew up in Price Hill. He loved riding his horse on the Elsaesser Farm when it was still a working farm. He met the love of his life, Friedel, when she came from Germany to visit a friend in the U.S. He served as a rifleman in the 99th Infantry division during WWII and a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge and the Ramagen Bridge Crossing. Visitation to be held at St. Williams Church, 4108 W. 8th St, Price Hill, Tuesday at 8:30 AM with Mass of the Christian Burial following at 9:30 AM. Memorials may be made to CARE, Gift Center, P.O.
