Stephen C. Kessen

At the age of 66, he passed away at his home in Cincinnati , Ohio.

He was born in Cincinnati on April 14, 1958. He was the son of Robert L Kessen (deceased) and Maridee M. Hilby (deceased). He is survived by his daughter, Mallory son, Spencer, older sisters, Cynthia (Foyles), younger brother, David and younger sister Tracy (Hinote).He is also survived by nine nephews and nieces, And numerous grand-nephews and grand-nieces.

Stephen grew up in North College Hill Ohio, he attended St. Margret Mary grade school, active in athletics and later graduating from Roger Bacon high school class of 1976, there he participated in Football, Baseball and Drama Club. He made numerous friends throughout his lifetime, no one was closer to Stephen then his childhood and life-long friend Terry Huxel.

He enlisted in the Navy in September 1977, receiving a honorable discharge in September 1981. While serving in the Navy, he attended the University of Maryland, studied radio, film and television, which provided him an opportunity to work for channel 9 News in Cincinnati. He studied Political Science at Xavier University, receiving his B.A. from the University of Maryland. Steve continued his education, and earned a degree from Salmon, P, Chase, College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. 

Stephen what is avid golfer, enjoyed spending time with close friends on the golf course and also the 19th hole. He most recently worked at various venues around the city, enjoying time with friends and coworker at the Taft Theater, River-Bend and other various venues around the city.

Memorial Mass will be held at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Clifton on Saturday, August 10 2024, at 11:00am.
