Sue Gruber

Sue A. (nee Schroder), 88, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014, under the care of Hospice of Cincinnati at Llanfair Retirement Community in College Hill. Sue is survived by her husband of 57 years, John, and five children: John (Ann) of Mount Vernon, Iowa; Mark (Amy) of Louisville, Kentucky; Mary Geisen of Cincinnati, Ohio; Matt (Maha) of San Antonio, Texas; and David (Cindy) of Charlotte, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren: Christopher (Jeni), Nicholas, Daniel, Steve, Michael, Stephen, Kristen, Timothy, James, Theresa, and Robert; and one great grandchild, Laura. Preceding Sue in death were her parents, J. Raymond Schroder and Hilda Beckenhaupt; brothers Dr. C. Richard, Rev. J. Raymond, and Lou (Jean) Schroder, and her sisters Mary Jo Schroder and Jayne (Lou) Meirose. Born in Cincinnati, Sue graduated from Mt. Notre Dame High School in 1943 and the University of Cincinnati in 1947. Sue took pride in being a mother and took a keen interest in the activities and successes of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.
