Tarry Mackanos

Tarry Mackanos of Maineville, Ohio, passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 83. Tarry was born December 18, 1940, in Gary Indiana, to the late Paul and Margaret Mackanos.

 Tarry Mackanos of Maineville, Ohio, passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 83. Tarry was born December 18, 1940, in Gary Indiana, to the late Paul and Margaret Mackanos. Tarry was married to Carolyn Mackanos for 64 wonderful years. During their marriage they had three children: the late Paul Mackanos, Greg (Jennie) Mackanos and Suzanne Mackanos. They also shared one granddaughter Megan (Jake) Jenkins. Tarry is also survived by his sister Marsha Carlson. During his life Tarry had several achievements: He graduated from Indiana University, and he spent a total of 35 years working his way up with Sears, Roebuck and Company. As the Store Manager, Tarry opened the Tri-County Sears store location in Springdale, Ohio. Tarry was also known as ”Uncle Sunshine” by his family, and anyone who knew him appreciated his penchant for telling funny jokes and stories. For many years, Tarry enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Eagles in Lebanon, Ohio. He was also fond of watching classic black and white movies, especially if his favorite actor Arthur Godfrey was in them. 

 Arrangements are as follows: Monday, November 25, Visitation: 10:30 to 11:30, followed by Mass at 11:30 at St. Margaret of York Church, 9499 Columbia Rd, Loveland, Ohio 45140

 Please Note: Columbia Road is blocked going South on Columbia. Follow the detour signs around to Fields Ertel. Then turn North on Columbia. The church will be on your left.

 Celebration of life following the mass at the: Fraternal Order of Eagles, 209 W Main St., Lebanon, Ohio 45036
