Terry Poe

Terry Poe, age 94, of Liberty Township, Ohio passed away in his home on April 14, 2023.  Terry proudly served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp during the Korean War and participated in the Atomic Nuclear Deterrent Program. Terry retired after 30 years from Siemens Energy. Terry enjoyed working with electronics, loved children, loved spending time with family and friends, and was a devout Christian. 

Terry was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and great uncle. Terry was survived by his daughter, Virginia “Ginny”(Michael) Smith. Grandchildren Bryan A. (Rebekah) Smith, Stephanie M. Smith and Justin A. Smith. Also, survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Terry was preceded in death by his second wife Fayrene (nee Perkins) Poe, his first wife, Arlena (nee Schultian) Breitfelder, and his daughter Valerie Lynn Poe. Also, by his parents Robert and Cora (nee Montgomery) Poe, siblings  Lermon (Catherine) Poe, Lucian (survived by Danola) Poe, Briston  (Vola) Poe, Lucy (Denver) Kilburn, and Leon (survived by Patricia) Poe. 

The Visitation will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044 from 6-8 PM. 

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10am in the Chapel at Landmark Church, 1600 Glendale Milford Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45215. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton/Ohio’s Hospice or the DAV.
