Thomas D. Hawks, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at the age of 91.
Tom was born June 2, 1928 in Lockland, OH to Fred and Pearl (nee Petrey) Hawks. He is the beloved husband of Daphine Floyd, loving father of Diane (Ken) Richardson, Thomas Jr. (Stephanie) Hawks, and Amy (Toney) McIntosh, Grandfather of Heidi Wiefering, Tara (Matthew) Viens, Matthew (Jackie) Hawks, Tiffany (Jeff) Domagalski, Tai (David) Henson, Logan McIntosh, Lyndsy (Ben) Glover, Langston McIntosh, Great Grandfather of, Davis Domagalski, Payton Domagalski, Caleb Henson, Noah Domagalski, Ella Henson, Drew Viens, Cole Henson, Elise Viens, Madalyn Wiefering, Molly Wiefering, Maria Wiefering, Makena Wiefering, Milena Hawks, and Ian Hawks and Brother of the late Fred Hawks, Jr., Gladys Stokes, Jim Hawks, Ruth Wiseman, Ernie Hawks, and Walter Hawks.
Tom graduated from Lockland High school in 1946 and went on to marry the love of his life, Daphine Floyd, on June 3rd, 1948. In the late 1940's, Tom played semi-professional football, until he became a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger for CF Mueller Company.
Later on, Tom became a Charter Member of West Chester Church of the Nazarene, received the Distinguished Service Award of West Chester Church of the Nazarene, and was inducted into the Lockland High School Hall of Fame. He was an avid golf player and also the Chairman of Tylersville Rd. McDonald’s coffee retirement club.
Due to the Covid -19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020. In lieu of flowers donations, can be made in Tom's name to
American Heart Association.
